A Masterpiece of Design

Completed in 1999, the Putra Mosque is a majestic synthesis of Middle Eastern and Malay architectural languages. Conceived as a centerpiece for Putrajaya, its iconic rose-tinted granite construction creates a warm, ethereal glow. The design draws heavy inspiration from the Persian Safavid era, most notably the Sheikh Loftollah Mosque, while incorporating intricate local decorative motifs throughout its grand prayer hall and expansive courtyard.

Opening Hours

Sat-Thu: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Fri: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Non-Muslim visitors are requested to avoid prayer times.

Dress Code

Modest attire is required. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Free pink robes are provided at the main gate.

Guided Tours

Complimentary guided tours are provided by official volunteers. Group bookings should be arranged 48 hours in advance.

GETTING THERE

Persiaran Persekutuan, Presint 1, 62502 Putrajaya, Malaysia. The mosque is easily reachable via the KLIA Transit train to Putrajaya/Cyberjaya station followed by a short taxi ride.
