PRACTICAL TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT

CLIMATE & TIMING

Putrajaya experiences tropical weather year-round. For the clearest architectural photography and most comfortable walking conditions, we recommend visiting between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM to avoid the midday heat.

DRESS CODE & ETIQUETTE

As the administrative heart of Malaysia, modest attire is standard. When visiting government precincts or religious sites like the Putra Mosque, shoulders and knees should be covered. Robes are provided for visitors at mosque entrances. Respectful behavior is expected in all public squares and administrative zones.

PAYMENT & CURRENCY

Major hotels, malls, and restaurants accept international credit cards. However, for smaller cafes, food courts, and local transport, having Ringgit Malaysia (MYR) in cash or using local e-wallets like GrabPay is highly recommended for a seamless experience.
